Services
I provide individualized psychiatric care for adults (18+) looking for a holistic, trauma-informed provider/prescriber. I am familiar with treating a wide range of psychiatric issues such as clinical depression, stress-related disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. If your condition is acute or unstable, you may benefit from treatment with an MD psychiatrist or treatment services from a higher level of care.
The psychiatric and behavioral health services I offer include:
psychiatric medication and treatment evaluations
psychiatric medication management
medication and diagnostic consults or second opinions, by referral
psycho-education on both medication and non-medication treatment options
brief supportive and interpersonal psychotherapy with each visit, for established med management patients
Receiving compassionate and quality psychiatric care in a safe and therapeutic space can help ground your recovery and healing process.
Please note that I do not provide:
neuropsychological testing
treatment services to children or adolescents under age 18
any legal advice or legal consultation
any legal forms to endorse an emotional support animal or service animal
any court-mandated psychiatric evaluations or forensic reports on your mental status or return to work evaluations
any FMLA, short-term or long-term disability assessments or endorsements, on a first visit or with new patients
WARNING: If you are on a controlled substance, there is no guarantee that I will prescribe, continue or refill any of your meds on a first visit. I would need a full assessment, comprehensive history/interview, review of your past records from prior prescribers and medical providers, and then discussing together my recommendations and a safety-focused treatment plan.
“I think self-awareness is probably the most important thing toward being a champion.”
My patients have told me over the past ten years that I am an open-minded and a caring listener. I explore “small picture” and “big picture” lenses to the treatment of your condition. I have a humanistic and eclectic approach, that values fundamental aspects of CBT, DBT and mindfulness meditation.
We collaborate on a treatment plan to better understand and manage your symptoms. This includes but is not exclusive to medication support and medication management. Additionally, I encourage healthy lifestyle changes, psychotherapy, regular physical activity, healthy eating, local support groups, and building a practice of non-judgmental and mindful coping skills.
“Learn to be quiet enough to hear the genuine within yourself so that you can hear it in others.”
